I've lived in Emmetsburg for almost five years now and I've gone to this theater many times and always will. The movies are $5 for the night shows at 7:00pm M-Sat, on Sunday they're $3 for the matinee at 2:00pm. Unlike many small-town theaters, they get movies fairly quickly, usually a month or less after theater release. The concessions are the same as any theater around here, prices and options are similar. The theater itself is very old, I'd guess 1920's-30's. The theater is nicely kept, the seats are old but comfortable and in good condition. The interior is beautiful, the walls are a nice, red velvet-style fabric and there are small chandelier-like lights over the side rows. The ceiling is white with a nice pattern and smooth lighting. Also, within the year they added large multi-color light strips to the outside of the building that are on at night, they look amazing. All around beautiful and very well-maintained building. The movie equipment is very modern. They have a newer digital projector and a Dolby sound system that sounds like any other theater. I've never had a bad experience and I will always go back, I highly encourage anyone else to also visit theater.
